What is an EXTEND Centre?

The ERASMUS+ Capacity Building EXTEND project seeks to promote a change in a system of pedagogic training of university teachers in engineering in the Russian Federation and Tajikistan,through modernization of PhD programs curriculum, development of sustainable system of teacher re-training and consultation support, by Network of Centers of Excellence in Engineering Education, the EXTEND centers.

How EXTEND Centres communicate and work together?

EXTEND centres aim promoting innovative approaches to teacher professional development in Higher Education institutions at the Russian Federation and Tajikistan, with the support of four HEI from the European Union (EU). Thus, the EXTEND centres will contribute to strengthening mastery of active learning strategies and best pedagogical practices in engineering education. The EXTEND centres work cooperatively in a network of centres, supported by a description of the competences of the university teacher of engineering disciplines, in order to offer training courses, research and consultations in teaching engineering disciplines, both for PhD students and teachers of engineering disciplines.
