Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU) is a leading Russian university that supplies degreed experts for construction industry and science. MGSU plays a key role in cultivating quality human personnel and defining the construction labour market both in Russia and CIS.  MGSU was one of the first universities that was granted the status of a National Research University of Russia in 2010. This enables MGSU to engage in both teaching and research through the integration of science and education.

The University’s key mission is to prepare highly qualified civil engineers, urban planners and architects. The current enrollment is around 25,000 students, who study at 8 different institutes within MGSU. The University offers 13 Bachelor  programmes, 7 Master programmes, 2 Specialist programmes and 18 Postgraduate programmes. The 50 departments within the University comprise over 170 teaching staff with a DSc degree and over 600 teaching staff with a PhD degree.

MGSU’s high level is confirmed by compliance certificates which attest that the University complies with ISO 9001:2008. The certificate is issued by SGS, an inspection, verification, testing and certification company from Switzerland recognized in 140 countries around the world.

MGSU is a leading institution within the International Association of Civil Engineering Universities. The  Association comprises 152 universities from Russia and CIS.  The University has 80 international collaboration partners from 35 countries. Annually, more than 150 students and staff participate in international exchange programmes, and over 200 teaching staff get engaged in further education programmes and internships abroad. Integration in the international environment of education and science constitutes one of the objectives of the MGSU Development Plan.

Role in project

MGSU participates in the Start Off meeting, all PMB meetings and project conferences, contributes to all the discussion and planning and QA procedures.

MGSU is an active part of WP 1 Preparation.  MGSU hosts start-off meeting (month 11/17). MGSU leads monitoring of Russian and Tajikistan practices in teacher training and competence enhancement (with focus on teaching engineering disciplines) including tuning of the monitoring methodology, self-assessment and analysis of results. The results will be unified as one report presented to all consortium by MGSU. MGSU also participates in WP 2 (establish EXTEND centre and leads the development of documentation for RF partners), WP 3 (all activities). WP 4 (Quality Plan), WP 5 (Dissemination and Exploitation) and WP 6 (Management).

Nadezda Miloradova, PhD

Associate Professor of the Department of Social, Psychological and Legal Communications

Graduated from Department of Psychology, Lomonosov Moscow State University. Holds PhD in Psychology. In addition to the work in the university, she conducts business and personal growth trainings at the Institute for the Development of Modern Educational Technologies (IRSOT ANO). She took part in numerous seminars and trainings on psychological, psychodiagnostic, psychotherapeutic and pedagogical practices in Russia, UK and Switzerland.

Nadezda Miloradova has published so far 4 monographs; more than 160 scientific articles, reports, theses; 5 textbooks; 32 study guides; 6 copyright courses for distance learning; more than 150 teaching publications.

Research interests: psychology of success; economic psychology; teacher training for higher education.

Awards:

Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation (2005). Certificate of honor of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (1988, 2000). Honorary Medal of the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering “For Merits in Building Education and Science”, 1st degree (2008). Certificates of Honor of MGSU (1988, 1990, 2000, 2004, 2009, 2011).

Alexander Ishkov, PhD

Head of the Department of Social, Psychological and Legal Communications

He is a graduate of Department of Psychology, Lomonosov Moscow State University. Holds PhD in Psychology. He is Head of Department of Social, Psychological and Legal Communications. He is a tutor of the course “Humanitarian Education of the Manager” of the International Institute of Management LINK.

Publications: 5 monographs; more than 120 scientific articles, reports; 4 textbooks; 5 study guides; 10 reference manuals; more than 40 teaching publications. Alexander Ishkov is an author of distance learning course "Self-organization is your key to success";

His research interests are related to the self-organization of human activities and technical creativity.

Zinaida Ivanova, PhD

Associate Professor of the Department of Social, Psychological and Legal Communications

Zinaida Ivanova holds is PhD in history. She is a graduate of Department of History, Leningrad State University and she completed her PhD at the same university. Then she studied at the Institute of Sociology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Now she teaches sociological disciplines to MSc students – architects and urban planners. She has extensive experience in development of curricula and teaching materials.

Zinaida Ivanova was an academic coordinator of Erasmus + Jean Monnet Module "Intercultural Europe: Urban Planning Based on the Principles of Social Integration - IEUP"(2015-2018) and Erasmus + Jean Monnet Project “Migration processes and urban design: EU experience -MIGPUD” (2016-2018).

Awards:

Numerous diplomas and gratitude for the organization of scientific conferences and participated in Russian and international scientific events. Honorary professor of higher education of the Russian Federation.

Zinaida Ivanova studies the experience of the introducing new pedagogical strategies and technologies, new educational programs in European universities.

Tatiana Kyzmina, PhD

Deputy Director of the Institute of Construction and Architecture, Associate Professor of the Department of Technology and Organization of Construction Production

PhD in technical sciences. Teachnig experience since 2011. Teaching disciplines: the activities of the technical client and contract organizations; fundamentals of organization and management in construction; organization, planning and management in construction. Academic adviser of graduation qualification works in the direction “08.03.01 – Construction”, BSc, profile: Industrial and civil construction. Academic adviser of graduation qualification works in the direction “08.04.01 – Construction”, MSc, profile: Technology and organization of construction.

Mikhail Leontev, PhD

Associate Professor of the Department of Social, Psychological and Legal Communications

Graduated from Department of Psychology, Lomonosov Moscow State University. He also has a law degree. He is PhD in Psychology, thesis topic «Features of culture as a factor in resolving interpersonal conflict». Mikhail Leontev works in MGSU since 2001. The disciplines that he delivers include psychology, fundamentals of law and social interaction in construction, social communications. 100 research articles and 1 monograph were published.

Diploma "For promoting the development of scientific research of students", 2019. Certificate of honor from the Moscow State University of Civil Engineering for the great contribution to the development of higher professional education at the MGSU, 2019.
